So, I hope this thread takes off well, and I'll list off all of the ones I'm familiar with that have such a program. What's cool about it is that it has a feature called "Name Your Price" which basically outlines that you can download an album of someone's for absolutely free, or throw them a few dollars as a "donation." There exists a lot of these Bandcamps, but sorting through the ones that are worthwhile can be quite tedious, in my opinion.
If you're unfamiliar with the website, it is basically a website that hosts an artist's music for free, making it easy to stream, download, and even purchase merchandise. There was once a problem with illegal downloading, and I sincerely think that Bandcamp is the solution to it all. I haven't seen this kind of thread around anywhere, and I'm not sure where to exactly put this one in.īandcamp is a wonderful tool, and I think that it's literally revolutionized downloading and purchasing music.
